A simple and fast to feed the family is Sloppy Joes. This mixture of meat, onions and sauce cooked together makes sandwiches great, easy. Ready in a few minutes in a left to simmer for hours in a slow cooker or stove, they are family occupied dream. When the family goes in directions different school, games, activities etc, a jar of Sloppy Joes is the ideal way for everyone to find a hot meal at any time they hit the kitchen. Here, we offer three versions different from Sloppy Joes, all sure to please the family occupied yours! Sloppy Joes rice add grain to your sandwich, while it goes almost unnoticed. For a healthier version, use the brown rice and whole wheat breads. Cheesy Sloppy Joes have cheese spread (Velveeta) cooked right on and the Smokey Sloppy Joes use liquid smoke for a taste of outdoor grills. Serve with a tray of condiment/veggie to an assortment of pickles and carrot, celery, Broccoli Florets rods fees, etc.
RICE SLOPPY JOES
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 large onion chopped
salt to taste
pepper to taste
garlic powder 1/4 TSP
2 tbsp raw quick-cook rice
3/4 of a small bottle of catsup
small amount of water

In a large skillet Brown ground beef with onion until no longer pink. Drain in a colander. Return to the Pan and add salt, pepper, garlic powder and rice. Mix water to thin soup catsup with approximately two spoons; Add to the mixture to skillet. Cook on low heat until rice is done. Add tomato paste and let simmer 5 minutes, adding small amounts of water, if necessary.
Serve on hamburger breads or your favorite sandwich rolls.
CHEESY SLOPPY JOES
1 lb of ground beef
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 small cardboard Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 box (14 1/2-oz.) can diced tomatoes
6 hamburger buns
In a large pan Brown the ground beef and drain. Add onion and pepper, and sauté until tender. Stir in cheese and tomatoes; Mix and bake at medium-low until the liquid cooks. Serve on rolls.
SMOKEY SLOPPY JOES
Lean ground beef, 1 1/2 lb
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup catsup
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp sauce Worcestershire
3 to 4 drops liquid smoke
2 tbsp brown sugar
In a large pan nonstick, Brown beef minced with onion and salt. Cook, stirring to crumble, until meat is no longer pink and onion becomes transparent. Drain any excess fat, if necessary. Return to the Pan and simmer for a few minutes to combine all the flavours. Serve on buns Hamburger with your favorite condiments.
