Use your toaster oven to make home honey oat nut Cluster cereal

The simple recipe below takes about 20 minutes. This recipe is for a single serving, but it is also easy to make a large batch. Just multiply by the amount you need.

I always do my cereal in my toaster oven. I found the proximity of heating elements make the perfect environment for cooking cereals. If you do not have a toaster oven, you can do regular furnace; just add a further 25 degrees of cooking temperature and keep a close eye on it.

Ingredients for a portion

1/4 cup rolled oats (not instant)

1 tbsp sliced almonds

1 tbsp honey

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg to freshly ground

Directions

Heat your oven to 400 degrees f.

Spread OAT and almond flakes sliced on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until this very slightly Golden, that this should take between 8 to 12 minutes depending on how close your heating elements are to the pan.

During this time, mix honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. If it is thick, warm slightly (I normally use raw honey, which is sometimes if thick is almost solid.)

Mix oats and almonds with the honey mixture. Flatten in a thin layer and cook for 5 more minutes. Let cool, then divide in clusters.

This grain is much served cold with a lot of milk or perfect to eat itself as a snack on the go.
